OUR APPROACH

Infant Development Team provides collaborative speech-language pathology services for infants and toddlers. Our approach is child-led and family-centered, emphasizing caregiver coaching and support within everyday routines. We work alongside families and other supports to address communication and feeding goals in ways that are meaningful, functional, and sustainable.

STEP 1

EVALUATION

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation focused on your child’s communication and/or feeding development. The evaluation starts with a detailed review of your child’s developmental and medical history, along with your priorities, concerns, and goals as a caregiver.

We then complete a routines-based interview to better understand how your child’s strengths and challenges show up during everyday activities such as feeding, play, and communication with family members. Standardized and caregiver-report assessments are used to support clinical decision-making and, when applicable, to determine eligibility for Early Intervention services.

Finally, discipline-specific assessment is completed based on your child’s individual needs, with a focus on speech, language, and/or feeding skills. Throughout the evaluation process, caregiver input and observation within natural routines are central.

PLAN OF CARE

STEP 2

Following the evaluation, a detailed and individualized plan of care is developed. This plan reflects your family’s priorities and is designed to support your child’s participation in daily routines.

Goals are functional, developmentally appropriate, and meaningful to your family, with an emphasis on building skills that can be practiced naturally throughout the day. Whether services are provided through Early Intervention or privately, the plan of care is created collaboratively and adjusted as your child grows and changes.

STEP 3

THERAPY SERVICES

Services are provided by a licensed speech-language pathologist and are centered around caregiver coaching and collaboration. Rather than focusing only on isolated skills, intervention is embedded within everyday routines and activities that are already part of your family’s life.

Caregivers are supported through modeling, guided practice, and education to help strategies carry over between visits. Services may take place in the home, childcare setting, or other natural environments, and virtual services are available when appropriate.

Our goal is to empower caregivers as confident members of their child’s development team, providing support that fits your family’s lifestyle and promotes lasting progress.

OUR RATES

Standard therapy sessions are $165 per hour. Evaluations and reevaluations range from $225 to 350. If you would like more information on our rates, please contact us here. We are in the process of credentialing with Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna. Superbills provided upon request.
